Zero day at Walker Pass / Lake Isabella
Section 2 is now completed and I'm about 200 miles deep, give or take a few. I'm now sitting at 'The Hungry Rancher' listening to old country tunes and drinking coffee for the afternoon. I'm taking an actual real true full zero day trying to get my injuries cleared up and taking a little rest - my last 'rest' days involved walking 10 miles in to rest and 13 out.... I'm splitting a room in town with Shade and Betoven, a couple a met on this last stretch who are fresh on the trail as well. It still turned out to be $30 each though (but no bugs!). Over the next couple hours I hope to get caught up on updates as I've been out of service all of this past stretch and it looks like that will be the norm for the next couple weeks. I have to send the photos to Richie first for formatting so it may take a day or two until it's all posted up. Overall the trip has been amazing so far! The trail definitely takes the scenic route nice and high up and I spend most days grinning ear to ear.
