Day 2 started with a 5am wake up to beat the 'heat' (according to me it was hot anyway) and head down to bear spring for your water load up. Mid afternoon we stopped at the amazing 'oasis cache' for a COLD BEER (!). I declined going to a trail angel house to party and finished my 18 mile day camped high looking over Lancaster and the desert I would be hiking in 9 couple days.
